Parent Newsletter - September 6Boletín para padres - 6 de septiembre

FRMA families,

Here are some important announcements for our families:

Curriculum Night
Our annual Curriculum Night will be held on Thursday, September 12th, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity to meet your child’s teachers and learn more about our instructional programs here at FRMA. Schedules for the event were sent home with students on Friday, September 6th.

Picture Day
Our fall picture day will take place on Monday, September 16th, in students PE/Music/Band periods.

FRMA Parent Coffee
Our first parent coffee will be held in the LRC on Thursday, September 19th, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. At our first meeting we will introduce office staff including our new counselor, Mr. Thompson, and our new social worker, Ms. Baker.

Spirit Wear Sales
Puma Spirit Wear is on sale until Tuesday, September 17th. Families interested in ordering can visit this website 1STPLACE.SALE/33217 to view merchandise and place an order. Spiritwear is 30% off from 08/13/24 – 09/17/2024. All proceeds from sales go to student rewards programs at our school.

District 131 Family Fall Festival
Join us to celebrate Hispanic Heritage & Culture at Blackberry Farm, located at: 100 S. Barnes Rd. Aurora,IL. 60506 on Friday, September 13th from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. for live music, food and fun activities for our East Aurora School District Families!

FRMA TRAFFIC PROCEDURES FOR DROP OFF AND PICK UP
Please follow these procedures to ensure a safe and orderly transportation of students to and from school.

BEFORE SCHOOL DROP OFF 7:00-7:15 A.M.

  • All students must be dropped off at door #9 on College Avenue in the proximity of the crosswalk.  Regardless of which direction cars are coming from, students should exit the vehicle on the curbside only and not be let out in the middle of the street.
  • Students should not be dropped along Root Street.
  • To help traffic flow, please pull forward as far as possible when dropping off to prevent traffic from backing up onto Root Street.  It is safer to wait for spaces to open to move forward than to attempt to have students exit the car on the corner.

BEFORE SCHOOL DROP OFF 7:15-7:30 A.M.

  • After 7:15 a.m., families may also use the circle drive in front of the school to drop off students after bus drop off has completed. However, students will need to walk around to door #9 for entry.

STUDENTS ARRIVING AFTER 7:30 A.M.

  • Students arriving at school after 7:30 .a.m. Should use door #1 (the main entrance). Parents or guardians dropping students off after the start of school need to accompany the student inside to the main office to sign in.

AFTER SCHOOL PICK UP 2:30-2:40 P.M.

  • Please be considerate of the homes neighboring our school if you arrive early to pick up your student by avoiding parking directly in front of driveways.
  • Reserved handicapped spots should be left open for vehicles with designated license plates or placards.

AFTER SCHOOL PICK UP 2:40-3:00 P.M.

  • Once buses leave, any remaining students waiting for rides will be picked up at door #1 (the main entrance)

AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES PICK UP AFTER 3:00 P.M.

  • Please meet your student at door #9 on College Avenue.

Noche de Currículo
Nuestra Noche de Currículo anual se llevará a cabo el Jueves, 12 de Septiembre de 5:30 a 7:00p.m. Esta es una gran oportunidad para conocer a los maestros(as) de su hijo(a) y aprender más sobre nuestros programas de instrucción aquí en FRMA. Enviaremos a casa los horarios con los estudiantes el viernes, 6 de septiembre.

Día de fotografías
Nuestro día de fotografías de otoño se llevará a cabo el Lunes, 16 de Septiembre, en los períodos de educación física, música y banda de los estudiantes.

Café para padres de FRMA
Nuestro primer café para padres se llevará a cabo en el LRC el Jueves, 19 de Septiembre de 10:00 a 11:00 a.m. En nuestra primera reunión presentaremos al personal de la oficina, incluyendo a nuestro nuevo consejero, el Sr. Thompson y a nuestra nueva trabajadora social, la Sra. Baker.

Ofertas en la ropa del espíritu escolar
La ropa del espíritu escolar Puma se encuentra en oferta desde este momento hasta el martes, 17 de septiembre. Las familias interesadas en hacer pedidos pueden visitar esta página web 1STPLACE.SALE/33217 para ver la mercancía disponible y hacer sus pedidos. La ropa del espíritu escolar tiene 30% de descuento desde Agosto 13 de 2024 hasta Septiembre 17 de 2024. Festival familiar de otoño de District 131
Acompáñenos a celebrar la Herencia y Cultura Hispana en Blackberry Farm, úbicada en: 100 S. Barnes Rd. Aurora,IL. 60506 el Viernes, 13 de Septiembre de 4:00p.m.-7:00 p.m. habrá música en vivo, comida y actividades divertidas para nuestras familias de East Aurora School District!

MEDIDAD DE TRÁFICO DE FRMA A LA LLEGADA Y SALIDA
Siga estas medidas para garantizar un transporte seguro y ordenado de los estudiantes hacia y desde la escuela.

ANTES DEL INICIO DE CLASES SI LLEGA ENTRE 7:00-7:15 A.M.

  • Todos los estudiantes deben llegar por la puerta #9 en College Avenue cerca del cruce peatonal.  Independientemente de la dirección en la que lleguen los coches, los estudiantes deben bajarse del vehículo por la acera y no por en medio de la calle.
  • Los estudiantes no deben bajarse en Root Street.
  • Para ayudar a que el tráfico fluya, por favor, avance lo más posible cuando esté dejando a su estudiante para evitar que el tráfico se acumule sobre Root Street.  Es más seguro esperar a que se abran espacios para avanzar que intentar que los estudiantes salgan del auto en la esquina.

ANTES DEL INICIO DE CLASES SI LLEGA ENTRE 7:15-7:30 A.M.

  • Después de las 7:15a.m., las familias también pueden usar el camino circular en frente de la escuela para dejar a los estudiantes después de que el autobús escolar haya terminado de bajar a los estudiantes que transporta.

LOS ESTUDIANTES QUE LLEGUEN DESPUÉS DE LAS 7:30 A.M.

  • Los estudiantes que lleguen a la escuela después de las 7:30 .a.m. deberán usar la puerta #1 (la entrada principal). Los padres o tutores que dejen a los estudiantes después del comienzo de la escuela necesitan acompañar al estudiante adentro a la oficina principal para firmar.

DESPUÉS DE CLASES SI RECOGE ENTRE 2:30-2:40 P.M.

  • Por favor sea considerado con las casas vecinas a nuestra escuela si llega temprano a recoger a su estudiante evitando estacionarse directamente en frente de las entradas de autos.
  • Los lugares reservados para discapacitados deben dejarse abiertos para vehículos con placas o carteles designados.

DESPUÉS DE CLASES SI RECOGE ENTRE 2:40-3:00 P.M.

  • Una vez que los autobuses salgan, los estudiantes restantes que estén esperando transporte serán recogidos en la puerta número 1 (la entrada principal)

PARA ACTIVIDADES DESPUÉS DE CLASES LLEGUE DESPUÉS DE LAS 3:00 P.M.

  • Por favor, reúnase con su estudiante en la puerta número 9 en College Avenue.
