FRMA families,

Please see these important reminders for the upcoming week:

Attendance Reminders

  • Tuedays are late start days for our students (8:30 a.m-2:30 p.m.) 
  • If your child arrives to school late, a parent or guardian must accompany them to the main office to sign in. 
  • Wednesday, September 25th is a half day for students, from 7:30 a.m-11:00 a.m. 

Spirit Wear Sale
Families interested in ordering FRMA spiritwear can visit this website to view merchandise and place an order. All proceeds from sales go to student rewards programs at our school.

Coats/Backpacks Available
We have a few winter coats for girls that are available to any student or their sibling who may need it, as well as two boy’s backpacks. If you need a girl’s coat between sizes 12/14 large or 2XL, please contact our Parent Liaison, Leslie Hernandez at: (630) 299-7177 or stop by the main office for pick up.

STEM Ignition
The STEM Ignition Club is being offered free to students at Fred Rodgers Magnet Academy. Registration is first come, first served as class size is limited. Students must register to join and can only register for the school that they attend. The class meets once a week after school throughout the school year on Tuesdays from 2:30-4:00 p.m..

The following partners will provide weekly instruction to students in the STEM Ignition program: Chasewood Learning-LEGO Robotics and Competitions, Elite Chess-Chess and Chess Competitions, IMSA-Topics in STEM, Aurora Public Library-STEM Literacy, SciTech-STEM Focused Curriculum, Friends of the Fox River-Environmental Science and Aurora Police Department- Police STEM Technology.

September BPAC Meeting
The Bilingual Parent Advisory Council will be having their first meeting of the school year at Belle Salle Banquets located at 1920 E. New York St. Aurora from 8:30 a.m-10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 26. Please join our Parent Liaison, Leslie Hernandez if you are able to attend.

Wake Up Call- East Aurora Student Tracker Program
The EA Student Tracker Program is inviting all parents and other adults who are influential in the lives of youth to an hour and a half presentation on Wednesday, October 9th from 6:00 p.m-7:30 p.m at Simmons Middle School, 1130 Sheffer Rd, Aurora, IL 60505. Enter through Door 6.

Participants will learn the current alcohol, vaping, and drug trends. Receive a guided tour of the bedroom along with a description of items used to conceal substance use, learn parenting strategies to help prevent substance abuse, as well as an opportunity to ask questions.

Por favor, consulte estos recordatorios importantes para la próxima semana:

Recordatorios de asistencia

  • Los Martes son días de inicio tardío para nuestros estudiantes (8:30a.m a 2:30p.m.)

Venta de ropa del Espíritu Escolar
Las familias interesadas en realizar pedidos de ropa de espíritu de FRMA pueden visitar este sitio web para ver la mercancía y realizar un pedido. Todas las ganancias de las ventas se destinan a los programas de recompensas para estudiantes de nuestra escuela.

Abrigos/Mochilas Disponibles
Tenemos algunos abrigos de invierno para niñas que están disponibles para cualquier estudiante o su hermana que los necesite, así como también dos mochilas para niños. Si necesita un abrigo para niña entre tallas 12/14 grande o 2XL, comuníquese con nuestra Enlace de Padres, Leslie Hernández, al: (630) 299-7177 o pase a la oficina principal para recogerlo.

El club de STEM Ignition
El club de STEM Ignition esta siendo ofrecido de forma gratuita a los estudiantes de Fred Rodgers Magnet Academy. Las inscripciones se realizarán por orden de llegada, ya que el espacio es limitado. Los estudiantes deben inscribirse para entrar y solo pueden inscribirse a la escuela a la que asisten. La clase se reunirá una vez a la semana después de la escuela durante todo el año escolar, cada Martes de 2:30p.m. a 4:00p.m.

Reunión de BPAC de Septiembre
El Comité de Asesoría de Padres Bilingües tendrá su primera reunión del año escolar en Belle Salle Banquets ubicado en 1920 E. New York St., Aurora de 8:30am-10:00am. el Jueves, 26 de Septiembre. Únase a nuestra Enlace de Padres, Leslie Hernandez, si puede asistir.

Llamada de Atención – Programa de East Aurora Student Tracker
El programa de EA Student Tracker invita a todos los padres y otros adultos que influyen las vidas de los jóvenes a una presentación de una hora y media el miércoles, 9 de Octubre de 6:00p.m. a 7:30pm en Simmons Middle School, 1130 Sheffer Rd, Aurora, IL 60505. Ingrese por la puerta 6.

Los participantes aprenderán sobre las tendencias actuales en materia de alcohol, vapeo y drogas.
