Parent Newsletter - December 13Boletín Informativo para padres - 13 de diciembre

Hello FRMA families:

Happy almost Friday! Just a friendly reminder that next week will be our last week before students go to winter break. Thursday, December 21, is a half day for students. Winter break is starting on Friday, December 22 until January 5, 2024. Classes will resume that following Monday, January 8, 2024

Our December Coffee with the Principal is set for Tuesday, December 19 in the LRC from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Please fill out this survey to let us know if you are attending this event.

Some parents have suggested that visitors bring a snack to share for our December meeting. If you are interested in participating, (not mandatory) please fill out that part of the survey or let Parent Liaison, Leslie Hernandez, know ahead of time at: (630) 299-7177 or lhernandez@d131.org

Also, the Bilingual Parent Advisory Council (BPAC) will be meeting at the Belle Salle Banquets that morning of Thursday, December 21 from 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Don’t forget to sign in at the front by checking the FRMA box on the sheet. If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Rita Guzman, Director of Language Acquisition at: rguzman@d131.org

Student Council announced their Holiday Spirit Week:

  • Monday, December 18: Cozy Pajama or Onesie Day.
  • Tuesday, December 19: Swap Day: Students dress like your teachers and teachers dress like your students.
  • Wednesday, December 20: North Pole vs. The Grinch.
  • Finally, Thursday, December 21: Puma Pride Day!

Tardiness Notification:
Students are expected to arrive to class on time at the start of the school day and to each class period afterwards. A student is considered tardy when he/she is not in class at the required time. Tardiness is not appropriate and disrupts the education of other students. Students who are not punctual to class may face disciplinary actions for accruing tardies. Teachers and main office staff will communicate with families if their student has accumulated multiple tardy notifications. Please help us by reinforcing the importance of being in class on time with your child.

Hola familias de FRMA:

¡Feliz casi Viernes! Sólo un recordatorio amistoso de que la próxima semana será nuestra última semana antes de que los estudiantes se vayan a las vacaciones de invierno. El Jueves, 21 de Diciembre es Medio día para los estudiantes. Las vacaciones de invierno comenzarán el Viernes, 21 de Diciembre hasta el 5 de Enero del 2024. Las clases se resumen el Lunes, 8 de Enero del 2024.

Nuestro Café de Diciembre con el director está programado para el Martes, 19 de Diciembre en el LRC de 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Complete esta encuesta para informarnos si asistirá a este evento. Algunos padres han sugerido que los visitantes traigan un bocadillo para compartir en nuestra reunión de Diciembre. Si está interesado en participar (no es obligatorio), por favor complete esa parte de la encuesta o informe a la Enlace de Padres, Leslie Hernandez, con anticipación al: (630) 299-7177 o lhernandez@d131.org

Además, el Consejo Asesor de Padres Bilingües (BPAC) se reunirá en los banquetes Belle Salle esa mañana del Jueves, 21 de Diciembre de 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. No olvide registrarse en el frente marcando la cajita de la hoja donde dice FRMA. El Consejo Estudiantil anunció su Día Festivo Semana del Espíritu:

  • Lunes, 18 de Diciembre: Día de Pijama.
  • Martes, 19 de Diciembre: Día de intercambio: Los estudiantes se visten como sus maestros y los maestros se visten como sus alumnos.
  • Miércoles, 20 de Diciembre: Polo Norte contra El Grinch
  • Finalmente, Jueves, 21 de Diciembre: Día del orgullo Puma!

Notificación de Tardanza:
Se espera que los estudiantes lleguen a clase a tiempo al comienzo del día escolar y después a cada período de clase. Se considera que un estudiante llega tarde cuando no está en clase a la hora requerida. Las llegadas tarde no son apropiadas e interrumpen la educación de otros estudiantes. Los estudiantes que no lleguen puntuales a clase pueden enfrentar acciones disciplinarias por acumular tardanzas. Los maestros y el personal de la oficina principal se comunicarán con las familias si su estudiante ha acumulado múltiples notificaciones de tardanza. Por favor ayúdenos reforzando la importancia de llegar a clase a tiempo con su hijo.
