Fred Rodgers Magnet Academy has been ranked the top elementary school in Kane County by Chicago Magazine.

The Fred Rodgers Magnet Academy is open to students who are academically talented and interested in math, science, and technology.

East Aurora School District 131 began its magnet program in 2008. In August 2013, the District opened a new building at 157 N. Root Street and expanded the program to 75 students in third through eighth grades.

Each year Chicago Magazine lists of top elementary and high schools in Chicago and the suburbs.
