FRMA Elementary Cheer Takes 1stPorristas de Primaria de FRMA Obtienen 1erLugar

The Elementary Cheer Tournament took place on Saturday, February 22nd. There were nine teams in attendance including Hermes, Johnson, Beaupre, Dietrich, Krug, Bardwell, Allen, FRMA, and Oak Park. 

This year was a first with a tie for first place!  After the judges took extra time to double and triple check scores, it came out that Fred Rodgers Magnet Academy and Krug tied for first place. This is FRMA’s third consecutive first place win at this tournament. 

FRMA has been participating in the Elementary Cheer Tournament for seven years and has won first place four of those years.  This year the team was made up of a16 fifth grader students, nine of which were returning to cheer from last year as fourth grade students.  FRMA is coached by Kimberly Stolpestad. Johnson took second place, followed by Bardwell in third.

El Torneo de Porristas de Escuelas Primarias tuvo lugar el Sábado 22 de Febrero. Asistieron nueve equipos, incluidos Hermes, Johnson, Beaupre, Dietrich, Krug, Bardwell, Allen, FRMA y Oak Park.

¡Este año fue el primero con un empate por el primer lugar! Después de que los jueces tomaron tiempo extra para re-evaluar los puntajes, resultando en un empate de primer lugar para las escuelas Fred Rodgers Magnet Academy y Krug. Esta es la tercera victoria consecutiva del primer lugar de FRMA en este torneo.

FRMA ha participado en el Torneo de Porristas de Escuelas Primarias durante siete años y ha ganado el primer lugar cuatro de esos años. Este año, el equipo estaba compuesto por 16 estudiantes de quinto grado, nueve de las cuales participaron también el año pasado como estudiantes de cuarto grado. Las porristas de FRMA son entrenadas por la Maestra Kimberly Stolpestad. Johnson obtuvo el segundo lugar, seguido por Bardwell en el tercera posición.
