The FRMA Cross Country team completed another successful season this past weekend. Student-athletes participated in the distance running sport for the first six weeks of the school year, with two culminating meets last week.
On Thursday 9/28 at the East Aurora Championships, the 8th grade girls team earned second place honors, narrowly falling to Simmons Middle School. The 8th grade boys team earned first place honors, including a trophy that will be posted within the Magnet Academy. Special honors were earned by Abraham Campos (3rd place overall) and Alison Lorenzo (3rd place overall).
On Saturday 9/30 at City of Lights, student-athletes competed against Cross Country teams from every middle school within the City of Aurora. Magnet runners had a wonderful showing with every single FRMA participant earning a personal record (PR) in the two-mile race.
