Crash Course on 5 Note-Taking Methods

The crash course on 5-Note Taking Methods Video briefly reviews the following main note-taking methods:

  1. The Outline Method (1:38)
  2. The Cornell Method (3:13)
  3. The Mind-Mapping Method (4:08)
  4. The Charting Method (5:31)
  5. The Sentence Method (6:19)

Use a method that works best for you. Everyone is different. I think the sentence method is the least ideal, but it may work for some students. If you want more information or assistance, please see Mrs. Warwick.

You can print this template or you can easily replicate this format by hand into your notebook. Whichever works best for you.

Cornell Notes Template #2

You can print this template or you can easily replicate this format by hand into your notebook. Whichever works best for you.

Standard Chart Method Template (request access)

This template is easiest to use if you save it to your drive, make copies as needed, and type directly into it. However, you may also like to make a copy, increase the size of the cells, print it and use it as a hard copy template. Again – do what works best for you.
