Jim Jenkins, the artist behind the Deus Ex Machina sculpture at the Richard and Gina Santori Library in Auora paid a visit to students at Fred Rodgers Magnet Academy.

The artist addressed 6^th and 8^th graders and spoke of his methodology and philosophy when designing and fabricating projects.

Jim Jenkins graduated with a fine arts degree from the University of Iowa. He spent 20 years in manufacturing which gives him the idea of ‘how things work’.

Currently, he has a show at the Water Street Studios at 160 S. Water Street Batavia, Illinois.
