Artist Jim Jenkins Visits Fred Rodgers Magnet AcademyArtist Jim Jenkins Visits Fred Rodgers Magnet Academy

Jim Jenkins, the artist behind the Deus Ex Machina sculpture at the Richard and Gina Santori Library in Auora paid a visit to students at Fred Rodgers Magnet Academy.

 

The artist addressed 6th and 8th graders and spoke of his methodology and philosophy when designing and fabricating projects.

 

Jim Jenkins graduated with a fine arts degree from the University of Iowa. He spent 20 years in manufacturing which gives him the idea of ‘how things work’.

 

Currently, he has a show at the Water Street Studios at 160 S. Water Street Batavia, Illinois.
